| Yossele Rosenblat the most famous cantor of the 20th Century, was born in Russian Ukraine in 1882. From a vert early age, he was among the European Jewish Communities as the "boy with the golden voice", and before he was 20 years old, he served as a chief cantor in various communities in Eastern and Western Europe. Before the First World War broke, Rosenblat moved to the United States, where in a short while he became very famous, performing prayers and songs in many places. On Passover 1933 Yossele arrived in Eretz Israel, where successfully performed all over the country. Yossele died at the age of 51, during his visit to Eretz Israel, while making the film "Dream of my People". The film Follows his life, the synagogues were he used to pray, the places he visited, and discusses his life and his art. The film includes rare footage from the film "Dream of my People", whrer Yossele Rosenblat is seen performing cantorial chants, while touring Eretz Israel. The soundtrack includes the best of the original recordings by Yossele Rosenblat. | ||||||
