Abraham Shemi-Shoham

Abraham Shemi-Shoham was born in Halab,
very close to the big ancient synagogue
where the “Aleppo Codex” (“Keter Aram Tzova”)
was kept. He immigrated to Israel in 1960.
He is a member of the Israel Society of Artists
and Sculptors and Chairman of the Society of
Artists and Sculptors in Bat Yam. He has put
on display some 20 individual exhibitions in Israel
and worldwide, and participated in various
group exhibitions.

Abraham Shemi-Shoham serves as the
graphic editor and illustrator of “Darchey Eretz” –
the periodic journal published by the
World Center Aleppo Jews Traditional Culture.

Abraham designed and reconstructed
the “Halab Haggada”, which was
awarded the Arab Prize at the
International Book Fair in Jerusalem.
